38 'VIRGINS' DIE IN HORRIFIC CAR CRASH AS THEY WENT TO DANCE FOR KING MSWATI III

38 'VIRGINS' DIE IN HORRIFIC CAR CRASH AS THEY WENT TO DANCE FOR KING MSWATI III;
Africa's last absolute monarch King Mswati III will have to wait for a few more days before he chooses his 15th wife after 38 virgins perished in a tragic road accident as they made their way to dance for him bare-breasted.
At least 38 died when the open-topped truck collided with another vehicle, before being hit by a second truck as it travelled along a motorway between the Swazi cities of Mbabane and Manzini on Friday afternoon.
The girls were all taking part in the Swazi Reed Dance Festival, an annual event which sees tens of thousands of unmarried girls - or 'maidens'.
King Mswati is known to pick his wives from the girls who perform for him at the traditional dance, a tribute to the queen mother.
Last year, he plucked a 19-year-old virgin from the dancing maidens, who became his 14th wife.

Mswati's father, King Sobhuza II married 70 wives, who gave him 210 children between 1920 and 1970.
About 180 children survived infancy, and 97 sons and daughters were reported living as of 2000. At his death in 1982, he had more than 1000 grandchildren.

Don’t be northern Nigeria’s president, Maitama Sule charges Buhari

ABUJA—Elder Statesman and former Nigeria’s Permanent Representatives to the United Nations, UN, Maitama Sule, has charged President-elect, General Mohammadu Buhari, to see himself as a Nigerian President and not only President of  Northern Nigeria when sworn in on May 29. Referring to Buhari’s election as an act of God, Sule also asked him to use the opportunity to correct the social ills of the past.
Maitama Sule spoke yesterday, when he led a delegation of northern elders, including Professor Ango Abudalhi, to pay a congratulatory visit to Buhari in Abuja.
According to him, God granted Nigeria a peaceful election against scary predictions that the country would disintegrate in 2015.
Extolling the virtues of discipline and uprightness in Buhari, the elder states man also urged him to relentlessly pursue justice and make truth his watch word throughout his tenure.
He said:  “You are the president of Nigeria, you are not the president of Northern Nigeria by the grace of God. Your excellency, we have come to congratulate you.
‘’We first of all thank God. What has recently happened to Nigeria is an act of God. Nobody can claim credit for it. Allah has done it for us. Allah has listened to our prayers and our pleas to bring about this change, a change for the betterment of all.
“Nobody expected that the elections would be peaceful, nobody expected that the elections would not lead to the disintegration of the country. By the grace of God, the elections were held peacefully.
‘’We are living in peace with one another. By the grace of God, power will also be handed over to you  (Buhari) and we’ll be living peacefully thereafter by the grace of God.
“On many occasions, I’ve called   for a revolution  but I made it quite clear that I was not calling for a violent or bloody revolution.
“I wanted a kind of revolution led by Mahatma Gandhi, non-violent, bloodless revolution with the philosophy of Sathia Gria. A revolution is a change of attitude.
“Glory be to God, having listened to our prayers, he gave us somebody who has a good record of being a man of God, a truthful man, a man of integrity, a man of discipline.
‘’Yes, you (Buhari) were a military leader. I’ve always said it that when you were a military leader, you instilled discipline into our society.  You fought corruption and you gave Nigeria a sense of direction.
“I am sure you will not compromise your principle but you’ll bring justice, wisdom and diplomacy. I’m sure you’ll not compromise your principline. Let it be the same Buhari that gave the country a sense of direction when he was a military leader.”

An Incredible Story About Cristiano Ronaldo As A Youngster

Cristiano Ronaldo is widely regarded as one of the best footballers in the world and some claim he is one of the greatest of all time.
Whether or not you agree, the Portuguese international has worked incredibly hard to be in the position he is in today and this story about his younger life is probably the best thing you’ll read today.
It’s a little long, but we promise it’s well worth the read...
Moments after Real Madrid Football Club won their 10th UEFA Champions League trophy in 2014, the global audience and thousands of football fans at the Stadium of Light in Lisbon were taken by surprise when Cristiano Ronaldo abandoned the team's celebration and ran to a section of the stand to pull out a man from the crowd and hug him affectionately.
The action was a public confession by Ronaldo to honour his childhood clubmate who 'sacrificed himself’ and allowed the Portuguese star to become a global icon today.
Ronaldo said in an interview he granted some years ago that he and his friend were vying for a spot in an academy of Andorinha in Funchal, Madeira.
I have to thank my old friend Albert Fantrau for my success. We played together for the same team in the U-18 championship. When a scout came to see us he said that “Whoever scores more goals will come into our academy. We won that match 3-0. I scored the first goal then Albert scored the second with a great header. But the third goal was impressive for all of us.
Albert was one-on-one against the goalkeeper, he rounded the goalkeeper and I was running in front of him.
All he had to do was to score that goal but he passed it to me and I scored the third goal, so I got that spot and went to the academy. After the match I went to him and asked him why? Albert said that "Because you (Ronaldo) are better than me."

Journalists then went to Albert’s house and asked him if it was a true story. He said yes.
He also said that his career as a player after the match ended and now is unemployed.
“But how did you build this house so great, you have a car? You seem like a rich man. You also able keep your family. From where did this come from? ‘
Albert more proudly replied: “It is from Ronaldo!”
This explains why Ronaldo had to single him out of the crowd to share in his celebration.

Nigerians React To Buhari's 'Oil Comment'

President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday blamed the past governments over their way of running the affairs in the oil industry and, in particular, recklessness of subsidy payments.

The Nigerian leader’s claim hit the headlines of national newspapers and media portals. Social media did not stay indifferent, either. This time there have been quite a lot of negative comments. Many expressed tiredness with Buhari’s rhetoric and non-stopping attacks at the previous administrations.

Nigerians urged President Buhari to start acting and fixing the situation instead. Some were pessimistic about the development alleging that Buhari is “confused” as he is “still complaining”.

See the outraged comments below:

Ifeanyi Bassey: “Buhari u r not different from d past leaders,u r as corrupt as they are,u only go against d ones that are not in support of ur leadership style,u r too tribal, start doing something reasonable,u will keep talking about probing d past government n ur 4 years will pass.”

Bright Johnbull: “2.8 billion dollars went missing from NNPC when auhari was petroleum minister. Oga PMB no be today these things start for NNPC and you know that. In any case fix it. That’s why you are there.”

Alor Saturday: “Mr. President work out something for Nigeria and stop shifting blame to somebody. Campaign period is gone this is the time for governance.”

Damilola Odunfa: “Yeah ……..even Obasanjo lamented too when he came back as a civilian president. The imaginable tenure for Buhari is 8yrs and the big question is what happens when Buhari must have finished his tenure and leave? It’s high time we focused more energy on building institutions/systems that are self sustaining. May God help us!”

Iheanyi Agbo: “Buhari you are the masses with hunger and here you are talking rubish.”

Lucky Christian: “Buhari if u dnt av anytin again to say u stay@home i’m feedup of this corupption tin u always say, wen u urself is already corrupt, tell us something else.”

Ofoegbu Charity: “Mr president, we need job nd not prob of government dat hv come nd pass.”

Augustine Noble Ikenna: “Our baby-president has started crying again ooo instead of moving the country forward…”

Auxel Celestyn: “Oga stop complaining dats why Nigerians voted you In. Fix it up or resign.”

However, there is another group, loyal to Buhari and his administration. They are sure that change takes time, especially after such a devastating long-term period of looting and bad governance.

See some of the supportive comments below:

Felix Benson: “The fear of Buhari is the begining of gud things, baba any body when no like you make them travel to ukrain or afganistan till 2019 bcos we don put u for there, nothing any body go fit do my presido.”

Abraham Folasade M Folahan: “Mr president u’re elected to restore back all our lost in Nigeria, may God help u & co workers aameen.”

Tension intensifies amid the political uncertainty associated with absence of ministerial appointments, highly anticipated from President Buhari.

Almost three months from the inauguration, the Nigerian leader has carried out major shake-up in the military and oil sector, but failed to introduce the cabinet. Many insist that effective people-oriented governance can start only with the announcement of the ministerial list.

The truth may be finally emerging about the "Gospel of Jesus's Wife

The truth may be finally emerging about the "Gospel of Jesus's Wife," a highly controversial papyrus suggesting that some people, in ancient times, believed Jesus was married to Mary Magdalene. New research on the papyrus' ink points to the possibility that it is authentic, researchers say, while newly obtained documents may shed light on the origins of the business-card-sized fragment.
Debate about the credibility of the "gospel" began as soon as Harvard University professor Karen King reported her discovery of the papyrus in September 2012. Written in Coptic (an Egyptian language), the papyrus fragment contains a translated line that reads, "Jesus said to them, 'My wife …'" and also refers to a "Mary," possibly Mary Magdalene.

King had tentatively dated the papyrus to the fourth century, saying it may be a copy of a gospel written in the second century in Greek. [Read Translation of Gospel of Jesus's Wife Papyrus]
Analysis of the papyrus, detailed last year in the Harvard Theological Review journal, suggested the papyrus dates back around 1,200 years (somewhere between the sixth and ninth centuries) while the ink is of a type that could have been created at that time. These findings have led King to support the text's authenticity.
However over the past year many scholars have come to the conclusion thatthe papyrus is a modern-day forgery, though King and a few other researchers say they are not ready to concede this: "At this point, when discussions and research are ongoing, I think it is important, however difficult, to stay open regarding the possible dates of the inscription and other matters of interpretation," wrote King in a letter recently published in the magazine Biblical Archaeological Review. King has not responded to several interview requests from Live Science.

Now, researchers at Columbia University are running new tests on the ink used on the papyrus. Initial tests published by the Columbia University team in 2014 indicated the ink could have been made in ancient times. Researchers are saying little until their report is published; however they did talk about one finding that could provide some support for its authenticity.
A gospel steeped in mystery
The current owner of the papyrus has insisted on remaining anonymous, claiming that he bought the Gospel of Jesus's Wife, along with other Coptic texts, in 1999 from a man named Hans-Ulrich Laukamp. This person, in turn, got it from Potsdam, in what was East Germany, in 1963, the owner said.
Laukamp died in 2002, and the claim that he owned the text has been strongly disputed: Rene Ernest, the man whom Laukamp and his wife Helga charged with representing their estate, said that Laukamp had no interest in antiquities, did not collect them and was living in West Berlin in 1963. Therefore, he couldn't have crossed the Berlin Wall into Potsdam. Axel Herzsprung, a business partner of Laukamp's, similarly said that Laukamp never had an interest in antiquities and never owned a papyrus. Laukamp has no children or living relatives who could verify these claims. [6 Archaeological Forgeries That Tried to Change History]

Over the past few months, new documents have been found that not only reconstruct Laukamp's life in greater detail, but also provide a new way to check the anonymous owner's story.
King reported in a 2014 Harvard Theological Review article that the anonymous owner "provided me with a photocopy of a contract for the sale of '6 Coptic papyrus fragments, one believed to be a Gospel' from Hans-Ulrich Laukamp, dated Nov. 12, 1999, and signed by both parties." King also notes that "a handwritten comment on the contract states, 'Seller surrenders photocopies of correspondence in German. Papyri were acquired in 1963 by the seller in Potsdam (East Germany).'"
After searching public databases in Florida a Live Science reporter uncovered seven signatures signed by Laukamp between 1997 and 2001 on five notarized documents. Anyone can search these databases and download these documents. These signatures can be compared with the signature recording the sale of the Gospel of Jesus's Wife — providing another way to verify or disprove the story of how the "gospel" made its way to Harvard.
While Harvard University would have to work with forensic handwriting experts to verify the signature, the fact that these notarized documents exist, and are publicly available, presents the opportunity to see if Laukamp really did own the Gospel of Jesus's Wife. Forensic handwriting analysis, while not always conclusive, has been used to determine if signatures made on documents or works of art are authentic or forged.
If Laukamp did own the papyrus, authentic or not, then the origins of the enigmatic text lie with him. The new Laukamp documents allow the story of his life between 1995 and 2002 to be told in some detail. However if Laukamp didn't own the papyrus and the anonymous owner has not been truthful, then further doubt would be cast on the papyrus' authenticity, and information leading to the identity, motives and techniques of the forgers could be found.
Authentic or forged?
One important find, which indicates the Gospel of Jesus's Wife is a fake, was made last year by Christian Askeland, a research associate with the Institute for Septuagint and Biblical Research in Wuppertal, Germany. He examined a second Coptic papyrus containing part of the Gospel of John, which the anonymous owner of the Gospel of Jesus's Wife had also given to Harvard. This text was likewise supposedly purchased from Laukamp, and radiocarbon testing of that papyrus similarly found that it dates back around 1,200 years. [See Images of the Ancient Gospel of Judas]
Askeland found that the text and line breaks— where one line of a text ends and another begins — are identical to those of another papyrus, published in a 1924 book. That second papyrus was written in a dialect of Coptic called Lycopolitan, which went extinct around 1,500 years ago. Askeland concluded that the John papyrus is a forgery. Furthermore, it shares other features with the Gospel of Jesus's Wife, Askeland said, suggesting both are forgeries.
"The two Coptic fragments clearly shared the same ink, writing implement and scribal hand. The same artisan had created both essentially at the same time," Askeland wrote in a paper recently published in the journal New Testament Studies.
King objected to this conclusion in her Biblical Archaeology Review letter, noting that the John fragment could have been copied in ancient times, long after Lycopolitan went extinct, from a text that had similar line breaks.

In addition, James Yardley, a senior research scientist at Columbia University, told Live Science that the new tests confirm that the Gospel of Jesus's Wife holds different ink than the John papyrus. This could undercut Askeland's argument that the two papyri were written by the same person.
"In our first exploration, we did state that the inks used for the two documents of interest [the John papyrus and the Gospel of Jesus's Wife] were quite different. The more recent results do confirm this observation strongly," Yardley told Live Science.
He added that until his new research is published in a peer-reviewed journal, he doesn't want to say anything more publicly. And once it's published, Askeland and other researchers will have a chance to respond.
Askeland's find is far from the only argument that the Gospel of Jesus's Wife is a fake: A number of scholars have noted that the Coptic writing in the Gospel of Jesus's Wife is similar to another early Christian text called the "Gospel of Thomas," even including a modern-day typo made in a 2002 edition of the Gospel of Thomas that is available for free online. That typo indicates the forgers copied from this modern-day text. King disputed this assertion in 2014, saying that ancient scribes made grammatical errors similar to the modern-day typo.
King and communications staff at Harvard Divinity School have not responded to repeated requests for comment.

The German college student gave up her apartment to live in the train

COLOGNE, Germany — When others get off the train to finally go home, Leonie Müller stays behind. That's because she already is home: The train is her apartment, and she says she likes it that way.
The German college student gave up her apartment in spring. "It all started with a dispute I had with my landlord," Müller told The Washington Post via e-mail. "I instantly decided I didn't want to live there anymore — and then I realized: Actually, I didn't want to live anywhere anymore."
Instead, she bought a subscription that allows her to board every train in the country for free. Now, Müller washes her hair in the train bathroom and writes her college papers while traveling at a speed of up to 190 mph. She says that she enjoys the liberty she has experienced since she gave up her apartment. "I really feel at home on trains, and can visit so many more friends and cities. It's like being on vacation all the time," Müller said.
The 23-year-old's unusual housing choice has gained her media attention in Germany and appeared on national news sites such as Spiegel Online. "I read, I write, I look out of the window and I meet nice people all the time. There's always something to do on trains," Müller told German TV station SWR in an interview. Since risking the move, Müller's life fits into a small backpack in which she carries clothes, her tablet computer, college documents and a sanitary bag.
So far, her experience contradicts studies that have recently claimed that "long commutes are killing you." And financially, she  benefits from living on a train: The flat-rate ticket costs her about $380, whereas she had to pay about $450 for her previous apartment. However, living cheaper is not the only goal she has in mind.
"I want to inspire people to question their habits and the things they consider to be normal," Müller told The Post. "There are always more opportunities than one thinks there are. The next adventure is waiting just around the corner — provided that you want to find it."
Müller frequently travels late at night, although she tries to sleep at the apartments of relatives or friends. Often, she is accommodated by her boyfriend, her mother or grandmother.
"Normally, we would have to have a long-distance relationship, but living on a train enables me to see him all the time," Müller told  German TV station SWR regarding her boyfriend. "Most of my friends really like the idea, although some consider it to be quite adventurous. Others, however, have reacted more negatively: They feel offended by the fact that I question the ordinary way of life and living."
Living on a train is also supposed to have an academic purpose: Müller is documenting the unusual experiment on a blog. Her final undergraduate paper will be based on her experiences as a modern train-nomad. The only problem? "Possessing a headset that mutes most surrounding noises is crucial," she said.

Man spends night with prostitute, goes home to catch wife with her lover

Couple in double adultery mess

It was poetic justice for a cheating husband who had spent the night at his prostitute girlfriend's place, only to come home andcatch his with another man.
The 31-year-old man from Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, identified as Mbuso Sithole, had reportedly lied to his wife that he was attending the funeral of a close friend in another town only to visit the commercial sex workers he was dating and spent the night at her place.
But his wife, Sgcebhe Moyo, also had other plans as she also invited her lover to come and keep her warm during the night but the bubble burst for both cheating partners when the man returned earlier than he should have, only to meet his wife in the arms of another man curled up in his bed.
The devastated Sithole was said to have tried to commit suicide by drinking a poisonous substance after the discovery and only the timely intervention of his mother who is a nurse saved his life as she quickly gave him an antidote to the poison otherwise he would have joined his ancestors.
Sithole narrated to his family members that it was the pain of catching his wife with another man in his bed that drove him into wanting to commit suicide, but also blamed himself for lying to his wife that he was going to a funeral while he was actually with his girlfriend.
He said as he walked home from his girlfriend's house at about 5 am, he felt something was amiss when his wife took long to open the door.
"The next thing, the window opened and a half naked man whom I recognised as Ra, shot out and sprinted away before I could react.
Yes, it's true that I wanted to commit suicide as I drank rat poison. I've a girlfriend called Blessing Chiedza Banda and on Thursday, I told my wife that I was going to a funeral wake when actually I was going to sleep over at her place.
I wanted to kill myself because I couldn't imagine my wife having a boyfriend."

Buhari's Latest Appointee Holds Fake Honorary Doctorate Degree?

A report on Sahara Reporters has it that Williams Babatunde Fowler, who was on Thursday appointed by Nigeria’s president, Muhammadu Buhari, as head of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), holds a dubious honorary doctorate degree in England.

The former boss of the Lagos Inland Revenue Service (LIRS), was said to have bagged the degree from an institution known as the “Irish International University”, an institution which was exposed as a degree mill by the BBC in 2008 as offering bogus and useless honorary degrees.

The presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina, in his letter to announce Fowler’s appointment, stated that he “had his higher education in the United States where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin and a Master of Business Administration degree from the California State University,” adding also that Fowler holds an “Honorary Doctorate Degree of the Irish International University.”

Does Mr Babatunde Fowler truly possess a dubious honorary doctorate degree?

But, not quite long afterwards, Sahara Reporters quoted a United States-based university professor, Farooq Kperogi, to have written something contrary on Facebook.

He wrote:

“After months of delays, ostensibly to properly vet his appointees, President Buhari just appointed somebody that may turn out to be a total fraud.

“He appointed a certain “Dr.” William Babatunde Fowler as the Executive Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS).

“In a news release signed by Femi Adesina, this red flag appears on the man’s qualifications: ‘Fowler, who holds an Honorary Doctorate Degree [sic] of the Irish International University, is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria and the Business Management Association of the United Kingdom.’ Well, Irish International University is a fraudulent, non-existent university (see http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/education/7175730.stm).

“Second, the Committee of Vice Chancellors in Nigeria has ruled that people with even legitimate honorary doctorates cannot prefix ‘Dr.’ to their names, as is the practice globally (see http://www.farooqkperogi.com/…/finally-some-good-news…). I fear that if this Fowler’s other qualifications are looked into, a big scandal may break out. His bachelor’s degree, for instance, is said to be from the ‘University of Wisconsin’ and his master’s degree from “California State University.”

“The trouble is, University of Wisconsin and California State University are multiple-campus universities; you can’t just say you attended the University of Wisconsin without mentioning the location. The University of Wisconsin has 26 campuses, and California State University has 23 campuses. Something is fishy here!”

Mr. Fowler’s lower degrees, according to Wikipedia listing, appears to grant credibility, where it was stated that he “obtained his first bachelors’ degree with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and a minor in Political Science in 1978.”

“It adds that he completed a second bachelors’ degree program at California State University, Los Angeles and also a Master of Business Administration degree program at California State University, Dominguez Hills in 1981.”

In spite of the listing, Fowler’s “Honorary Doctorate Degree” from the Irish International University was not listed by Wikipedia, in its citation.

The reports by the online medium further pointed out that the Irish International University is a fake “university” operated by a United Kingdom aristocrat, Professor Baron Knowth, who serves as the Honorary Chancellor of the Irish International University.

Although tongues are wagging over Asiwaju Bola Ahmed’s purported influence on Fowler’s appoitment, it is yet to be seen if these recent allegations are true.

HELP!! MY NEIGHBOUR’S WIFE WANTS TO PUT ME IN TROUBLE

My neighbour’s wife has kids but she’s quite young. For sometime I have being on leave, each time she’s always asking when I’m resuming I keep telling her soon.
One morning she came to my house that she needed my help to do something online and I noticed she was not wearing a bra and as if she wanted me to notice it going by her body movement. Last week she brought her laptop that she wanted me to check it for her and that she was going to pick it up the next morning. So while checking the laptop I noticed there were some pictures on the desktop.
Out of curiosity I opened one of the pictures and noticed it was her Unclad pictures. So I opened another one and still the same. When she came the next day I told her the laptop was fine. Then she asked me the she hopes I didn’t look at her pictures ooo. I was mute and said what pictures? She laughed and asked me if I liked what I saw? Honestly I was shocked. I told her no that I needed to do something that she should please excuse me for now. The husband is a good neighbor and I just feel very guilty and angry. I just moved in the compound 9 months ago and all these? How do I stop all this nonsense?
