Buhari appoints Rivers governorship candidate Peterside as NIMASA DG

The Federal Government has appointed Dr Dakuku Adol Peterside as Director General of Nigerian Maritime administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA).

 

According to a statement from the Minister of Transport, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi and signed by Mrs. Yetunde Sonaike, the Director (Press and Public Relations), Federal Ministry of Transportation, the appointment takes effect from 10th March, 2016.

 

Dr. Dakuku Peterside was the Governorship Candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Party, in the April 11, 2015 Governorship election in Rivers State.

 

. Peterside holds a Doctorate Degree in Management Science (Organisational Behaviour), from the University of Port Harcourt, MBA in Business Administration and a Bachelor Degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences (B. MLs) in Haematology from the Rivers State University of Science and Technology Rivers State.

 

Dr. Peterside was elected member, House of Representatives in 2011-2015 and served as Chairman House Committee on Petroleum Resources, (Downstream).
